Program Information

Bergelectric Corp. is hiring Apprentice Electricians in Marina del Rey, California to support active electrical projects across commercial, industrial, institutional, and select residential environments. This is a full-time, safety-sensitive apprenticeship role designed for individuals who are currently enrolled in, or actively working toward enrollment in, an approved electrical apprenticeship program.

Apprentices work under the direction of certified or licensed electricians while developing hands-on installation, repair, maintenance, and testing skills. The role emphasizes strict compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes, along with Bergelectric’s safety and productivity standards.

Electrical Training Focus

This apprenticeship supports broad electrical field development, including conduit and raceway work, branch circuits, specialty systems, and electrical distribution components. Apprentices gain exposure to wiring methods used in real construction environments and learn how to support installations involving control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switchgear, receptacles, and switches.

Training also includes blueprint-based execution, including reading and interpreting electrical single line drawings, and building competency in electrical theory and systems commonly used on large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assist electricians with installing, repairing, maintaining, and testing electrical systems while supporting jobsite safety, workflow, and productivity goals. Apprentices help measure, cut, bend, thread, and install conduit and cable systems, splice and terminate conductors at junction points, and stage materials so field crews can work efficiently.

Apprentices are expected to communicate professionally with foremen and crew members, maintain clean and organized work areas, and represent Bergelectric with professionalism when interacting with coworkers, customers, and vendors.

Work Environment

Work is performed on active job sites and may involve high noise levels and changing weather conditions. Apprentices should be prepared for physical jobsite demands, including ladder work and operating from man lifts or reach booms as required by the project.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and exert 50 pounds of pulling force
  • Ability to climb ladders and perform wire and conduit pulls
  • Ability to squat, stoop, and kneel while wearing a tool belt (approximately 25 pounds)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while performing repetitive hand work

Compensation & Benefits
