The HVAC program offers industry-focused training in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Students learn refrigeration cycle fundamentals, electrical controls, airflow analysis, heat pumps, gas furnaces, and residential and commercial installation practices. Coursework emphasizes troubleshooting, safety, energy efficiency, and EPA 608 refrigerant handling requirements. With Nevada’s strong demand for HVAC professionals, CSN graduates often enter the workforce quickly as installers, service technicians, and refrigeration mechanics.

The Electrical Technology program introduces students to residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems. Training includes electrical theory, conduit bending, blueprint reading, wiring methods, motor controls, panel installation, and adherence to the National Electrical Code. Students practice in simulation labs that replicate real electrical jobsite environments. Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions and often transition into electrical apprenticeships with local contractors or union training programs throughout Nevada.
