Program Information
The Delaware Roofing Apprenticeship Program is designed for individuals looking to enter the roofing industry. Apprentices learn to install and repair all types of roofing systems, including asphalt shingles, tile roofs, and metal roofing. The program combines classroom instruction on safety, materials, and techniques with hands-on experience on job sites.
Apprentices also receive training in the use of specialized equipment, roofing safety practices, and understanding how weather conditions affect roofing materials. The program lasts 3 years and includes more than 4,000 hours of on-the-job training, leading to journeyman certification upon completion.
