Program Information

East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) offers a comprehensive, hands-on Electrician Program designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the electrical industry. The curriculum covers essential electrical concepts, safety regulations, and practical training in real-world settings.

  • Residential Wiring: Installation of outlets, lighting, and circuit breakers in homes.

Program Length

The Electrician Program at EVIT lasts two semesters, which can be completed in one academic year for adult students. High school students may take the program over multiple years, depending on their enrollment plan.

Certifications & Career Opportunities

Upon successful completion, students may pursue industry-recognized certifications and apprenticeships, including:

  • OSHA 10 or 30 Safety Certification
  • National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Certification
  • Journeyman Electrician Apprenticeship (after required field experience)
