Program Length

Program Requirements
- Interest in becoming a licensed electrician through the DOL Apprenticeship Program
- Certificate or AS degree in electrical technology or related fields preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel 100% of the time for nationwide project assignments
- Willingness to work in industrial environments, heights, confined spaces, and various weather conditions
Working Conditions
Apprentices work outdoors and indoors on industrial project sites and are frequently exposed to weather, dust, noise, high elevations, and environments where electrical hazards are present. Workweeks typically exceed 40 hours but are capped at 60 hours to support safe operations. Weekend work may be required depending on project schedules. Ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and heavy equipment are commonly used throughout the job.
