Program Information
The Electricians JATC in Newark offers a comprehensive Registered Apprenticeship program that provides hands-on training alongside experienced Journeyman Wiremen. Apprentices gain practical experience on active job sites while also attending structured classroom instruction one day per week. This “earn while you learn” model allows participants to build skills, earn competitive wages, and obtain a debt-free college education through the JATC training system.
The program prepares apprentices to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Program Length

Compensation
Starting wage: $16.40 per hour + $12.94 in benefits.
Top Journeyman wage: $36.45 per hour + $23.31 in benefits.
Apprentices receive progressive wage increases as they advance through each training period.
