Program Information
The Georgia Electrical Apprenticeship Program offers extensive training for individuals interested in becoming skilled electricians. Apprentices will receive both classroom instruction and practical, hands-on experience working on residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems. Topics covered include wiring, lighting systems, troubleshooting, and adhering to the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Advanced modules in automation, control systems, and renewable energy sources are also incorporated to ensure apprentices are well-prepared for the evolving electrical industry.
Program Length
4 years (includes 8,000 hours of on-the-job training)
Program Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong math and science background
- Ability to work with electrical systems
