Program Information

The Plumbing Technology program at MSU-Northern is unique in Montana, offering comprehensive training for a career in the plumbing and HVAC industries. Students learn pipefitting, water systems installation, and advanced plumbing techniques, all while earning credits that can be applied toward an apprenticeship. This program is designed to prepare students for high-demand roles in residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing sectors, with opportunities to specialize in green technologies and energy-efficient systems.

Program Length

Two-year Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or a Certificate of Applied Science (CAS).

Program Requirements

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Basic math and reading placement tests may be required. Apprenticeship hours can be credited toward classroom requirements.
