Program Overview

Northwest College provides high-quality technical training designed to prepare students for in-demand trades in welding, automotive service, and HVAC. The Welding Technology pathway teaches students modern weld processes such as MIG and TIG, robotics applications, and cutting and fabrication techniques. The Automotive Technology track covers diagnostics, electrical systems, hybrid and electric vehicles, and prepares students to work in a changing automotive environment. The HVAC Technology option trains students to install, maintain, and service energy-efficient heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems for both homes and businesses.

Certification & Licensing Prep

  • Welding program aligns with welding industry codes and builds readiness for weld-qualification tests.
  • Automotive training prepares students for certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) and hybrid vehicle service credentials.
