Program Information
Painters & Allied Trades DC 88 operates Local 807’s apprenticeship program, which trains individuals in professional painting, drywall finishing, and surface preparation techniques for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Apprentices learn to apply paint, coatings, and decorative finishes using various tools and materials while following safety and environmental regulations.
The program also includes instruction in surface repair, spray application, wallpapering, and specialty coatings such as epoxies and fireproofing. Students gain experience in both interior and exterior work environments, often transitioning between new construction and restoration projects. Emphasis is placed on precision, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Program Length
Three-year program including 4,800 hours of fieldwork and 432 classroom hours. Classroom courses are held in Oklahoma City and regional training centers.

Certifications & Career Opportunities
