Program Information

Sprinkler Fitters Local 669 offers a nationally recognized apprenticeship training program in fire suppression systems. This unique trade focuses on installing, testing, and maintaining fire protection systems, including wet, dry, foam, and pre-action sprinklers in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.

The program is part of a multi-state training effort that ensures high safety and installation standards across the fire protection industry. Apprentices are assigned to contractors working on job sites throughout Oklahoma and beyond, giving them access to a wide range of systems and technologies, including modern computer-based fire alarm integration and backflow prevention devices.

Program Length

This is a 5-year program requiring 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and over 700 hours of classroom education. Classes are held in regional centers across the state and supplemented by online learning modules.

Apprenticeship training is provided at no cost to the apprentice.
