Program Information
Swift Transportation offers a professional CDL training program designed to prepare students for careers in commercial truck driving. As one of the nation’s largest transportation companies, Swift provides hands-on driver education using modern trucks, advanced safety technology, and instruction from certified, experienced trainers. The program covers all aspects of Class A CDL driving, including vehicle inspection, safety procedures, and trip planning.

Hands-On Training
Training includes behind-the-wheel instruction, simulator practice, and classroom coursework in:
- Vehicle control and maneuvering
- Backing, coupling, and uncoupling trailers
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Trip planning and route management
- Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Cargo handling and load securement

Program Length
- Full-time CDL Training Program: 3 to 4 weeks

Program Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
