Apprentices start with guaranteed pay during training and progress into full-time driving positions that can lead to $80,000 in first-year earnings and $100,000+ in 18 months. Upon completing training and earning their CDL-A license, participants can choose between becoming a company driver or a lease operator.
Hands-On Training
Training is conducted through Wilson Logistics’ certified facilities and on-the-road experience with veteran instructors. Apprentices gain hands-on experience in:
- Vehicle Operation & Safety: Learning safe, compliant, and efficient long-haul truck operation under professional supervision.
- Trip Planning & Logistics: Managing time, routing, and load planning for regional and cross-country trips.
- Maintenance & Inspections: Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and DOT compliance.
- Customer Service & Communication: Building professional relationships and handling delivery documentation and schedules.
Certification & Licensing Prep
- Comprehensive preparation for the CDL-A licensing exam, with full classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction.
- Assistance in obtaining CDL permits prior to hands-on training.
- Includes driver mentorship and continued training after initial certification.

Compensation & Benefits
Wilson Logistics provides guaranteed pay during training and full benefits after CDL completion:
- $900 weekly guaranteed pay during training
- Average weekly pay of $1,100 – $1,300 after CDL certification

Cost & Financial Support
