Program Information

Alabama Industrial Development Training (AIDT) is a statewide workforce development agency that provides free, high-quality training for Alabama residents pursuing careers in skilled trades. Through partnerships with local industries and community colleges, AIDT offers programs in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Welding, and other technical fields. Each program is designed to combine classroom instruction with practical, hands-on experience to ensure students gain the technical and safety skills required by employers.

AIDT’s HVAC and Plumbing programs focus on installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial systems. Students learn system diagnostics, pipe fitting, blueprint reading, and energy efficiency practices using the latest tools and equipment in simulated jobsite environments.

Program Length

Hands-On Training
