Job Description
C-TEC is seeking a dependable and motivated Installation Apprentice to join its trash and linen chute installation team. This hands-on apprenticeship offers the opportunity to learn a specialized trade while working on commercial and multi-story buildings such as hospitals, hotels, apartments, and high-rise facilities. No prior chute installation experience is required—full training is provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with installation of trash and linen chutes from floor to floor
- Work with sheet metal components, doors, frames, and intake hoppers
- Safely use hand and power tools
- Read basic drawings and follow installation plans
- Measure, cut, fasten, and seal installation components
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Travel to job sites and work collaboratively as part of an installation crew
Job Requirements
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a hands-on environment
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures
- Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset
- Physical ability to lift equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in confined or outdoor environments
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical coursework or exposure to electrical or mechanical trades is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
