Program Information
Minneapolis Community & Technical College (MCTC) offers industry-focused programs in Electrical Construction and Plumbing Technology, designed to prepare students for high-demand careers in the skilled trades. Both programs combine classroom learning with extensive hands-on training in state-of-the-art lab facilities that simulate real jobsite conditions.
The Electrical Construction program teaches students electrical theory, blueprint reading, conduit bending, wiring installation, and the National Electrical Code (NEC). Students learn to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The Plumbing Technology program focuses on pipefitting, water and drainage systems, plumbing codes, and safety standards, equipping students with the skills required to work as licensed plumbing professionals.
