Northwest College of Construction (NWCOC) is a nonprofit, industry-driven construction training center located in Portland, Oregon. NWCOC offers a range of programs designed to prepare individuals for careers in the construction industry through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on experience.

Graduates of NWCOC’s programs are prepared to enter the workforce with the skills and certifications necessary for various roles in the construction industry. Apprenticeship programs culminate in nationally recognized industry certifications as master craftspersons (Journey Workers).

Financial Aid & Support Services
NWCOC offers free education for many of its programs, with the construction industry covering tuition and book costs for most students (exceptions apply in the HVAC and Sheet Metal programs). Apprentices receive a paycheck while gaining hands-on career training, and upon completion, they earn nationally recognized industry certifications. Support services include career counseling and job placement assistance.
