Program Information
Oregon Tradeswomen (OTW) is a nonprofit organization based in Portland, Oregon, dedicated to promoting success for women in the trades through education, leadership, and mentorship. OTW offers a state-certified pre-apprenticeship program designed to prepare women for careers in the skilled construction trades.
Programs Offered
- Pathways to Success: A 7-week, state-certified pre-apprenticeship program that provides hands-on training, classroom instruction, and career exploration in various construction trades.
- RISE Up Oregon: A Respectful Workplace Program offering tools and support to create and maintain safe, inclusive, and productive work sites for everyone.
Program Length
The Pathways to Success program spans 7 weeks, during which participants engage in comprehensive training to prepare for entry into registered apprenticeship programs and careers in the construction industry.
Certifications & Career Opportunities
Graduates of the Pathways to Success program are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue registered apprenticeships and careers in various construction trades, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and more. The program emphasizes job placement support and connections with industry partners to facilitate employment opportunities.
Program Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Identify as female or non-binary.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrate a commitment to pursuing a career in the construction trades.
Application Process
