Installation & Jobsite Responsibilities
Plumbing Install Helpers assist licensed plumbers with the installation and assembly of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances. Daily tasks include cutting, threading, and assembling piping using hand tools and power tools, as well as staging materials so projects move efficiently.
Helpers also assist with setting up and breaking down construction sites, organizing tools and materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment throughout the job.
Blueprints, Layout & Mechanical Support
This role involves reading basic blueprints and schematics to understand plumbing layouts and installation requirements. Helpers support layout tasks, minor troubleshooting during installs, and remodeling or maintenance work under supervision.
Exposure to construction plumbing, mechanical systems, and jobsite coordination provides a strong foundation for advancement into higher-level plumbing roles.
Safety & Work Environment
Safety is a priority at Hoosier Drain Guys. Install helpers follow established safety protocols on construction sites, properly handle tools and equipment, and assist with maintaining organized, hazard-free work areas.
Work is performed on-site and may involve lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working in active construction environments.
Compensation & Schedule
This is a full-time position with expected hours ranging from 40 to 55 hours per week. Hourly pay typically ranges from $16.63 to $28.46 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.
