The HVAC program trains students to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems for both residential and commercial environments. Coursework includes electrical fundamentals, refrigeration cycles, duct design, air quality control, heat pump systems, and energy-efficient technologies. Students gain hands-on experience using industry-standard diagnostic equipment and tools, and they receive preparation for essential credentials such as EPA 608 certification, which is required for handling refrigerants. The program emphasizes system performance, safety, and customer service skills, making graduates valuable to HVAC contractors throughout South Carolina.

The Welding program at Greenville Technical College offers extensive training in welding processes used across manufacturing, construction, automotive, and industrial fabrication. Students learn MIG, TIG, Stick, and flux-cored welding, as well as metal cutting, fabrication techniques, blueprint interpretation, and weld inspection standards. Training takes place in modern welding labs designed to simulate professional fabrication environments. The Plumbing program provides an in-depth foundation in plumbing installation, piping systems, gas distribution, water supply systems, fixture installation, sewer systems, and code compliance. The curriculum prepares students for state licensure pathways and entry-level plumbing assistant or apprentice roles. The Automotive Repair program equips students with the skills required to diagnose, service, and repair modern vehicles. Training areas include engine performance, electrical systems, drivetrain components, suspension and steering, brake systems, emissions control technologies, and on-board diagnostics. Students work with late-model vehicles and industry-grade diagnostic scanners, preparing them for ASE certification exams.
