Program Information
Georgia Highlands College provides a variety of trade programs in automotive, welding, HVAC, electrical technology, and plumbing. The automotive program prepares students for careers in diagnostics, repair, and maintenance, with a focus on modern automotive technology. Welding students receive hands-on training in multiple welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, giving them the skills needed to work in construction, manufacturing, and metalworking. HVAC students are taught to install, maintain, and repair heating and cooling systems in both residential and commercial applications. Electrical technology students are trained to work with electrical systems, learning to install and troubleshoot wiring systems in homes, businesses, and industrial environments.
