Program Information
The New Jersey Plumbing Apprenticeship Program trains apprentices to become licensed plumbers. The program includes both classroom education and hands-on training in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance for residential, commercial, and industrial systems. Apprentices learn to install pipes, fixtures, and other components, and they receive instruction on reading blueprints and adhering to local plumbing codes. Safety practices and environmental concerns are emphasized throughout the training.
Graduates are well-equipped to start their careers as professional plumbers, working on various plumbing systems from new construction to system repairs and upgrades.

5 years (includes 10,000 hours of on-the-job training)

- Strong math and mechanical skills
