The Roto-Rooter Apprentice Plumber Program offers paid, hands-on training for individuals looking to start a long-term plumbing career with one of North America’s most recognized service providers. Apprentices gain real-world experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and drain systems while receiving structured instruction through Roto-Rooter’s internal plumbing school. Participants earn while they learn, building a foundation in service repair, customer communication, and professional trade skills.
Hands-On Training
The apprenticeship includes 12 weeks of paid instruction and ongoing field training focused on:
- Diagnosing and resolving plumbing and drain issues for residential and commercial customers.
- Learning to use modern tools and technology to perform repairs and replacements efficiently.
- Preparing cost estimates, documenting work orders, and processing payments using mobile software.
- Developing customer service and problem-solving skills essential for service technician roles.
